sustainability policies and strategies in university systems. This study enriches the global dialogue on sustainability in higher education, emphasizing the importance of considering national and regional contexts in the development of sustainability policies and strategies in HEIs. |

La sostenibilidad en la Educación Superior se ha convertido en un tema destacado a nivel global, el estudio analiza cómo Argentina, España y Perú abordan esta temática. Utilizando la participación de las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES) en el The Impact Ranking (THE-IR) como indicador de compromiso, se examinan los comportamientos y rendimientos de las diferentes IES. El objetivo es comparar el compromiso con la sostenibilidad de estos tres países. La importancia del THE-IR viene dada por la evaluación integral que realiza respecto al compromiso de las IES con la sostenibilidad, permitiendo comparaciones internacionales. La metodología cuantitativa permite identificar similitudes, diferencias y mejores prácticas en términos de sostenibilidad. Se evalúa el compromiso con la sostenibilidad según la participación en el THE-IR. El análisis revela heterogeneidad en el compromiso entre los países, influenciado por factores históricos, políticos, económicos y culturales. La implicación de este estudio radica en la necesidad de contar con marcos regulatorios para promover políticas y estrategias de sostenibilidad en los sistemas universitarios.
